Startup to IPO: Building for Success was the kickoff program in the 2011-2012 Colloquium on Commercialization. This full-day program, featuring discussions by attorneys, investment bankers, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists, provided insight into creating and sustaining quality companies. Topics included patents, corporate legal, financing, and a walkthrough of the basic lifecycle of a startup through IPO. A cocktail reception and networking following the event provided UT faculty a face-to-face opportunity to discuss challenges and key lessons with the speakers and panelists.
