A Method for Rate Selection in OFDM Wireless Networks

Project ID: 1736-AP
Available for licensing

Background

Wireless networks depend on accurate selection of physical layer parameters to maximize throughput under reliability constraints (such as packet error rate).

Invention Description

This invention enables a new method for completing rate adaptation in wireless networks. A new method for selecting the physical layer parameters in a OFDM or MIMO-OFDM (multiple-input, multiple-output and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) wireless network is proposed.
